Using eductaion and consultation to support the development of effective working relationships, systems, approaches and working environments. I help you meet legislative requirements whilst significantly enhancing workflow and productivity for both you and your autistic employees. No more tip toeing, have confidence in your workforce and gain the edge.
I have been an independent consultant countrywide for the past seven years in an eclectic mix of companies, government departments and industries, I have been educating and mentoring for sixteen years, and have over 50 years personal experience of autism.
The approach is a positive one. I use my knowledge and experience to analyse environments and systems to reduce difficulties and increase productivity. Consultancy and mentoring provide the tools and advice for both employers and employees to develop new perspectives, mutual understandings and effective working practices.
Often managers struggle with how autism both manifests in working life and how to support their autistic staff in their working environment. Day to day decisions become much simpler when having the opportunity to ask for guidance from a professional.
Instill confidence and increase predictability for management
Having a set curriculum very rarely works. The needs of your workforce are as unique as the individuals you employ. Education can be generalised but focussed on the setting and enironment of your work or, it can be focussed around smaller teams and based on individual needs.
Education to meet your needs, not to tick boxes
There are times when big decisions need to be made that affect staff, processes or working practices. Have confidence in the knowledge that you have professional support when dealing with complex issues.
Make decisions with greater clarity
Mentoring and coaching is demonstrably effective and is a mainstay of our work. Supported autistic staff will have regular meetings in which they can air and discuss difficulties to rationalise them, their managers and HR have the freedom to contact us as an when necessary if they feel that there is an issue or, if they simply would like to check how things are going. Mentoring and coaching can often be funded by the DWP's Access to Work scheme.
